I have been with Dr. Fong since 2002, starting in the front office as the receptionist before being promoted to Office Manager in 2003. I enjoy working with our team as well as interacting with our patients. When I’m not at work I’m active in my church and enthusiastically attending Jazzercize classes.
I joined Dr. Fong’s team in January 2012 after graduating from Holy Names University with a degree in Psychology. With no prior experience in the field, Dr. Fong and Katie trained me to become a Dental Assistant. Through their inspiration, I am currently working towards becoming an RDA. I love working with such a strong and supportive group of teammates. I’ve found that my strength is supporting the patient, as well as Dr. Fong during dental care.
I started in the front office as a receptionist in 1989 and got promoted to Office Manager shortly thereafter. I was constantly inspired by our Hygienists and their compassion in caring for their patients in the oral health prevention, and in 1999 was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program in Santa Rosa. I graduated in 2001 with an Associated Degree in Dental Hygiene and began working as a Hygienist. In 2013, I also received my Bachelor of Science at Cal State Eastbay.
I’ve been with Dr. David Fong since 1998 and am responsible for processing insurance claims and coordinating the finances for patient treatment. Working in the front office has allowed me to build relationships with our patients that I truly enjoy. When I’m not working with the team…I’m eating with the team.
After graduating from College of Alameda, I joined Dr. Fong’s dental team in 2006 as a Dental Assistant. I was inspired by Dr. Fong to take additional dental courses every year to advance my knowledge and skills, and in 2014, attended University of the Pacific for expanded functions program which allows me to utilize additional skills as a Dental Assistant.
